Midterm and Final for Joe's Drawing for Animation Class

I don't feel like either of these were good enough. I don't work well under pressure. :/
In any case, here they are.

Midterm: the Toy redo. The original theme was historic/literary figures. I chose Che Guevara. Then on the redo we added the theme of viking raiders.
Final: Theme - Git yer ma an headta the cellar. Include the farmer and an anthropomorphic side kick.

One day I'll scan the other stuff...

AP Concentration

So this is the concentration section of what I turned in for my AP porfolio. My concentration was Fairy Tales. And to bring it all closer together, they're all done in scribbles on black paper with colored pencils. They're considerably larger than what most people turned in, which was definitely hurt my cause because I had so much more to do, but I don't regret it really. I like things on a larger scale.
Anyway, this is only an excerpt of it...there were 12 pieces, but these were the best in my opinion.

Alice in Falling through the Rabbit Hole

Zeuz and Hercules

Sword in the Stone

Snow White eating the Poisoned Apple

Senior Year (Minus my Concentration)

Ellie
Color pencil and acrylic paint
If you were wondering what was going on the background...that's an excellent question. The background is made out of this weird felt paper and I really don't know what I was thinking when I decided to use it.

Turkey
Color pencil
Rodeo Art, blue ribbon.
Hillary

Hannah and Brenden
Gesso and Acrylic Paint on Vinyl Records
This is the record assignment. There's are two records missing. I know I took pictures of them. Oh well.
It was weird. I don't know what I was doing. Le instructor gave us a box of records and told us to do something with them.
I entered 3 of the records into Culture Shapers...Hannah and Brenden. and then there was another record that I don't know where the picture is.
Emily Portrait
Acrylic on Canvas
VASE entry Senior Year. Score 4.
I hate the proportions, but I love the colors.

Junior Year

The following is stuff i did in high school...that i didn't absolutely hate.

Blue Hand
Sharpie on blue paper
I hated dots for a long time after that.

Segmented
Color Pencil and black Sharpie
I entered this into V.A.S.E and got a 4, but didn't go to state... oh the sadness.

Loren's Horse
Pastel
I entered this into Rodeo Art. Red Ribbon again I believe. Lame.
I Love You Even Though It Isn't Fair (Self Portrait)
Ink, Sharpie, and color pencil on masonite
So when I was a sophomore I was a bit of a weirdo. More than I am now. The picture I used as reference was from sophomore year. haha. good times. I entered this into V.A.S.E. as well, but I got a 3 on this one, which to be honest... I liked this one SO much more than the one that got a 4.

Eric on Ice
Pastel
I entered this into Culture Shapers, but didn't win. surprise, surprise.
People tend to have a really hard time with this one. It's a guy sitting with one leg crossed over the other, and a reflection beneath him.

Self Portrait in scribbles
Color pencil on black paper.

(self portraits were a popular assignment that year...i promise, i'm not so vain.)
